Tired of the same old white background on your 3DS? Well, with the new update for the Nintendo 3DS that was just released, you can change it. The update now allows themes that can change the Home menu of your 3DS. The theme doesn’t only change the color of your 3DS’s home screen; it also will change the sounds. Five free, simple themes come with the update with the colors being: Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink, and Black. There are more themes in the eShop that are purchasable for $.99 to $1.99. These themes include Animal Crossing, Zelda, Mario and more. The update also brought along the ability to capture screenshots of their Home screen and improvements to the overall stability of the system have been made.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be released in North America on November 21 and in Europe on December 5 with a $59.99 price tag. The announcement was made by Nintendo this morning.With Smash Bros., Nintendo intends to release its first set of amiibo figures on November 21 in North America and on November 28 in Europe with a second set expected to hit stores in December. Each figurine will cost $12.99.The amiibo characters upon launch will include Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus Aran, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Pikachu, Kirby, and Marth. The second wave will add Zelda, Diddy Kong, Luigi, Little Mac, Pit, and Captain Falcon.Amiibo was announced at this year’s E3 event. To activate the figures, players must tap one of the purchasable characters on the Wii U GamePad controller. The figures will function differently for each game. The amiibo compatible games include Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros for Wii U, Mario Party 10, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and Yoshi’s Woolly World.A GameCube adapter will also be released for the Wii U on November 21.
