Butt plugs, vibrators and lube were all prizes participants of Bingo After Dark could win in Park Hall’s Hargrave Multipurpose Room on Thursday, March 23. Ball State’s Student Action Team and Health Wellness and Promotion Advocacy partnered together for the sex education event.
The Ball State University Student Government Association (SGA) began directly with executive reports, having no special guests or special orders of business. President Tina Nguyen highlighted an event they are a part of occurring this week.
Ball State University’s Student Government Association held its final debate with the vice presidential nominees on Feb. 15 at the L.A. Pittenger Student Center. This debate was the third of three debates and allowed for the nominees to get to speak to the public and explain their running platform points.
Ball State’s David Owsley Museum of Art embraced an anti-Valentine’s Day theme at the DOMA After Hours event Friday. The event was from 5-8 p.m., and included a variety of activities and events, such as cross stitching, fortune telling, anti-speed dating and creating ex-effigies.

The two tickets are “Empower” with Presidential Nominee Skylar Ellis, in SGA’s On-Campus Caucus, and Vice Presidential Nominee Taylor Perry, in SGA’s At-Large Caucus, and "Gassensmith & Lindstrand" with Joseph Gassensmith, current chief of staff, and Monet Lindstrand, current vice president.
Representatives from the Ball State University Honors College Diversity Project collaborated with the Inclusive Excellence Series to host a Disability Pride awareness event. The event, hosted by diversity fellows from the organization, included lectures from guest speakers within the mental health and disability fields.
Latinx Student Union (LSU) held Latinxpoolza in the L.A. Pittenger Student Center in Cardinal Hall Jan. 20, as is tradition for Ball State University’s Unity Week. This was the 43rd annual Unity Week for Ball State, and Latinxpoolza continued the tradition of being one of the closing events of the week.
Jan. 16 from 11:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m., Ball State University's MLK Planning Committee, Ball State students and Muncie community members were involved in an on-campus march to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and raise awareness for inclusion and equality.
Dec.16, the Ball State University Board of Trustees held their semester-end meeting, addressing business from three different university committees, and holding a general session to close. The Board of Trustees next meeting is set for March 3, 2023.
Ball State University’s Health and Promotion Advocacy (HPA) and Multicultural Center held a World AIDS Day event in Park residence hall Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., the first time Ball State has held such an event.
The student organization Let’s Talk About It (LTA) partnered with the Men and Women of Color (MWOC) and Black Women’s Voices (BWV) to host “Curls & Convo” at the Whitinger Business Building at 5-7 p.m. on Nov. 9.
The political science department at Ball State University, along with the Student Government Association, hosted a watch party for the 2022 midterm elections. Attendees and organizers discussed the midterm elections and their votes/beliefs.
Ball State University's Charles W. Brown Planetarium held its third annual Astronomy Slam Saturday night. Astronomy Slam is a competition where four students discuss four different phenomena in our solar system.

Saturday, representatives from Ball State PBS celebrated the legacy of Bob Ross by hosting Happy Little Fest on LaFollette Field and in the nearby E.F. Ball Communication Building.
The 3rd annual Astronomy Slam takes place Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. Presentation’s for this year’s Astronomy Slam include a tour of the night sky, the scale of the universe, the life cycle of stars and searching for another earth.
