Monomyth sets up 'Need to Know' Kickstarter

Monomyth Games, based in Adelaide, Australia, started the Kickstarter for its debut game, Need to Know, a bureaucracy-em-up along the same theory as Lucas Pope’s Papers, Please. Need to Know features the player as a new employee at the Department of Liberty, a highly enabled surveillance body that specializes in information-gathering and espionage. The video features the player scouring through documents, text messages, emails and other forms of communication as he decides what to do with what he knows.

Activision experiences layoffs

GameInformer reported that it was “tipped off” at some changes over at Activision regarding staffing, with reason to believe that the area affected is the Minneapolis, Minnesota location. Activision confirmed that layoffs had taken place, “As announced on our earnings call, our games for core audiences did extremely well, but the casual audience has not yet emerged on the next gen consoles,” an Activision spokesperson told GameInformer.


'FNAF World' now free

After pulling the game from the Steam Store, Scott Cawthon agreed that his game was released too early. However, instead of putting the game back on Steam, he opted to put the game on Game Jolt for a free download.
