Red Dead rumors

Rumors surrounding a possible Red Dead Redemption sequel are flying once more since Take-Two Initiative CEO Strauss Zelnick announced that the game series is a “permanent franchise.” The most prominent rumor, according to news outlets such as Christian Today and MNR Daily, is that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be announced at this year’s E3 convention in Los Angeles.  The game will supposedly feature Jack Marston, son of Redemption’s protagonist John Marston, and will be called Red Dead Revolution. However, the official websites of Take-Two Initiative and subsidiary company Rockstar Games have remained eerily silent on the issue.  E3’s website offers no solutions, either. Rumors are nothing new to the Red Dead fanbase.  Last year, a possible sequel was supposedly hinted at by former Rockstar employee Danny Ross.  The speculation stemmed from Reddit, where he answered a question regarding Rockstar’s future with, “Really?

Ball State soccer signs 4 new players

After saying goodbye to six seniors, Ball State soccer began its recruiting season with the addition of four new players. Head coach Craig Roberts added two high school seniors as well as two Division I transfer student athletes. The Cardinals finished last season as the Mid-American Conference regular season champions after going undefeated at home and losing only one conference game. Allison Abbe is a junior transfer midfielder from the the University of Cincinnati.

Muncie music group delivers singing valentines

For those who are tired of the chocolates-and-flowers Valentine’s Day routine, there’s another way to send the love. They’re the Magic City Music Men, and if you have $40, they will deliver a singing valentine to whomever you want.

Social media night aims to 'pack the nest'

Students will be cheering for more than just a basketball game on Feb. 9, as Ball State athletics hosts its second annual social media night at Worthen Arena. Through email, Ball State athletics gave away free customized T-shirts for students who sent their name, T-shirt size and Twitter handle. Around 1,000 students are set to receive shirts.

Nathalie Fontaine named MAC West Division Player of the Week

Ball State women’s basketball senior guard Nathalie Fontaine has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for the fifth time this season. Fontaine earned the honor after scoring 20.0 points per game and hauling in 11.5 rebounds per game over the last week. She scored 18 points in the Cardinals’ come-from-behind victory at Buffalo, 59-57.
