THE BAKER'S DOZEN: An impossible choice

​Students join forces to fix ‘the Ashtray’

The seating area between the Architecture and Whitinger Business buildings, which many call “the Ashtray,” is in sad shape, some students say. The tiled pavement is cracked and wobbly in spots, making it impossible for some students in wheelchairs to access it.

The Amazing Taste returns for seventh year

The event featured cuisine from countries like Rwanda and Saudi Arabia, and students could also take part in various performances, a photo booth, ice sculpting, belly dancing, henna tattooing, an animal show and even bug tasting.

Two field hockey players win All-MAC honors

A pair of Ball State field hockey (8-10, 3-3 MAC) players were named All-Mid-American Conference. Senior midfielder Mikayla Mooney made the All-MAC first team, and sophomore forward Darbi Gullett was awarded a spot on the second team. Both are winning a postseason award for the first time in their Ball State careers.

Amazing Taste makes 2016 return

With an exotic animal show, henna tattoos, ice sculpting and musical performances, The Amazing Taste draws in more than 2,000 visitors each year and features an array of international cultural displays, performances and foods.
