Field Hockey drops third straight game to Dartmouth

After dropping their first two games of the season, Ball State Field Hockey (0-3, 0-0 MAC) was looking to get into the win column for the first time this season against Dartmouth (1-1, 0-0 Ivy League). The Cardinals found the back of the net for the first time this season, but would eventually fall to the Big Green, 5-1.

Soccer shuts out College of Charleston, 3-0

In its final weekend away series of the season, Ball State Soccer (3-1, 0-0 MAC) headed down south to take on College of Charleston (2-3, 0-0 CAA). An 18 minute onslaught by the Cardinals in the second half gave them the 3-0 win. 




Gilbert, Cardinals rush into record books in season opener

Ball State Football (1-0, 0-0 MAC) opened up its season with a dominant win over Central Connecticut State (0-1, 0-0 NEC), 42-6. While the Cardinals held it down on both sides of the ball, it was their rushing game that proved to be the biggest difference of the game.

Unspoken: Too Little, Too Late

On Aug. 3, Ball State University’s Board of Trustees released a statement regarding alumni John Schnatter’s - more popularly known as Papa John - use of the N-word during a meeting.
