Local animal shelter ARF needs volunteers

Students aren’t the only ones who have to face the harsh cold this winter season. The animals at ARF find themselves stuck in cages all winter because of little volunteer help there.

The fall of the Berlin Wall celebrations, the statue unveiling of a former U.S. President at his Berlin Wall speech site, the Japanese Emperor’s enthronement parade, the Hong Kong protests and Iran producing more low-enriched uranium make up this week’s five international stories.

Ball State Women's Volleyball starts road trip with win over Western Michigan

Ball State head coach Kelli Miller Phillips said the team’s road trip against Western Michigan and Northern Illinois was going to be the toughest of the season. Coming off of a two-game winning streak at home, the Cardinals conquered part one of this challenge, beating Western Michigan in four sets, as the offense set the tone to lead the Cardinals to a 3-1 victory.

With an Arctic blast of cold air on the way for the beginning of next week, this week is the perfect time to prepare for the season ahead.
