Defense holds out as Ball State defeats Georgia Southern at home

While most Ball State students hunkered down in their first week of winter break, the men’s basketball team took to the court in Worthen Arena against Georgia Southern. Defeating the Eagles 58-54 after a nervy first half, the Cardinals sit 8-4 with one game left before the Mid-American Conference (MAC) regular season begins with Toledo Jan. 3.

Ball State leaves Inaugural Indy Classic with a win

The Cardinals made big plays under the bright lights of Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Downtown Indianapolis Dec. 17 and left with their third win on the bounce.



The Ball State University Board of Trustees met Dec. 16, in L.A. Pittenger Student Center, Cardinal Hall A&B in Muncie, Ind. The Board met with three separate committees, and held a general session to close. (Kyle Smedley, DN)

Dec.16, the Ball State University Board of Trustees held their semester-end meeting, addressing business from three different university committees, and holding a general session to close. The Board of Trustees next meeting is set for March 3, 2023.

Indiana defeats Kentucky at Delaware County Fairgrounds

The whistle blows. Skates screech on the floor. Two players with stars on their helmets attempt to push through the opposing team, ready to burst their way through a human-made wall. Shoulders shove, players use the back of their bodies to block aggressively, as one starred player forces their way past the others and lunges forward with momentum around the circle that acts as a field.


Offense flowing in Ball State Men's Basketball's win over Aces

Ball State fans flocked to Worthen Arena to watch their team take on the University of Evansville. If they were wanting an offensive presentation, then they went home happy. The Cardinals defeated the Aces 88-69. It was clear after the first half that the home team came to play.
