Rumors surrounding a possible Red Dead Redemption sequel are flying once more since Take-Two Initiative CEO Strauss Zelnick announced that the game series is a “permanent franchise.” The most prominent rumor, according to news outlets such as Christian Today and MNR Daily, is that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be announced at this year’s E3 convention in Los Angeles. The game will supposedly feature Jack Marston, son of Redemption’s protagonist John Marston, and will be called Red Dead Revolution. However, the official websites of Take-Two Initiative and subsidiary company Rockstar Games have remained eerily silent on the issue. E3’s website offers no solutions, either. Rumors are nothing new to the Red Dead fanbase. Last year, a possible sequel was supposedly hinted at by former Rockstar employee Danny Ross.
