The “Save the Dance” show will include dance acts in styles ranging from lyrical to hip-hop to jazz. There will also be several pieces of live accompaniment.

The show will take place from 6-8 p.m. on VGR’s lawn. It’s free, but attendees can buy $2 bracelets that will raise money for various causes.

Ian Truelove, a Ball State graduate with a degree in dance performance who is hosting the event, said the fundraiser will showcase the "huge support" of Save the Dance volunteers and dancers.

An open collection jar will  be available at the show, with proceeds going toward the tuition and book fees for two dance students at Ball State.

Additionally, gently used and new paired sock donations will be accepted for donation and given to the Youth Opportunity Center
