Code Red dancers got the opportunity to open for a former Three Six Mafia member Monday.

Academy Award winner Juicy J performed for a sold-out crowd at the Horizon Convention Center in Muncie and had asked the team to open for him last-minute.

Amy Wilkins, head coach of Code Red, said she felt like she could not pass up the opportunity for the team after the organizers of the event contacted her through social media.

“Even though we were only notified a week before the event, I just couldn’t say no, the girl’s would have been so mad at me,” said Wilkins.

Still, the team had 26 different dance routines to rely on, which they learned during their summer training in Las Vegas, she said.

Other opening acts included media personality B-Swift from the Indianapolis radio station Hot 96.3, as well as Instagram-famous Baby Dookie.
