Majerus coached two seasons for Ball State

Former Ball State basketball coach Rick Majerus died Saturday at the age of 64, according to the USA Today. 

He was most known as the coach at Utah from 1989-2004 and took the Utes to the national championship game in the 1997-98 season.

Majerus coached from 1987-1989 for Ball State. In those seasons, he had a combined record of 43-17 and had a 22-10 record in the Mid-American Conference. In the 1988-89 season, Ball State finished first in the MAC and went to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
