Late Nite Carnival postponed

The Late Nite Carnival will be postponed until Saturday evening due to possible hazardous weather.

Kelsey McPheeters, Late Nite's administration coordintaor said the decision to postpone the event was made at around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible, but no severe weather is expected, according to the National Weather Service.

One of the mainstage acts, John Cassidy, will perfom at 9-10 p.m. Friday at Pruis Hall. Cassidy is a magician and balloon artist who has performed on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," and "Live With Regis and Kelly." Doors open at 8:15 p.m.

McPheeters encouraged students to attend Cassidy's performance and keep the carnival in mind for tomorrow.

"[Saturday] there's zero chance of rain, so it should be way better," McPheeters said. "It will still be the exact same thing with better weather."
