Students were notified at 9:54 a.m. Saturday via the emergency notification system of a fire in the laundry facility of Scheidler Apartments.
The email encouraged students to avoid the area of Tillotson and McGalliard. The laundry facility at Scheidler is separate from the actual apartment units.
The university issued another emergency notification at approximately 10:24 a.m. informing students that the fire had been extinguished, and that the laundry facility is temporarily closed.
No injuries were reported.
