MUNCIE, Ind. — A Turkish roofing manufacturer is planning to build its U.S. headquarters in Muncie.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation said Friday that Kermit USA, LLC could bring up to 70 jobs to Indiana. The company plans to spend $12.5 million equipping a 44,000-square-foot space in Muncie.
The state is offering the company up to $350,000 in aid if it follows through with its estimated number of new jobs.
The Muncie facility will make recycled composite slate tiles for roofs. Delaware County leaders say the project was spurred by the creation of their Turkish Business Center.
