An SUV plowed through the front door of fast-food restaurant in Muncie, bulldozing over several tables and injuring the business owner.
Customer Daniel Dobbs tells The Star Press that the SUV bursting into the Great Steak restaurant Tuesday night sounded like an explosion and that the vehicle pinned owner Bill Frick behind the counter.
Frick freed himself and was taken to a Muncie hospital for treatment, but information on his condition wasn't immediately available. City police Sgt. Jay Turner says the driver was taken into custody and was also going to the hospital.
Dobbs says the driver "seemed out of it" after the crash. Other witnesses said the SUV's brake lights didn't come on before it crashed into the business in a strip mall on the city's west side.
