Muncie receives first snow of season

Muncie got its first bit of snow for the season Thursday, but it isn't expected to stick.

Cold air and precipitation swept into Delaware County, some of it from Lake Michigan, according to the National Weather Service.

A mix of rain and snow is possible before 7 p.m., but it isn't expected to accumulate, the NWS said. The rest of the night should be mostly clear, with a 20 percent chance of precipitation.

Surface pressure throughout the country will likely bring in higher temperatures for the weekend and early next week, as well as rain back to the area, according to the NWS.
