Ind. troopers make 363 DUI arrests over weekend

INDIANAPOLIS — A drunken driving crackdown over the weekend has resulted in 363 arrests for driving while intoxicated.

Indiana State Police say the enforcement blitz occurred between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Troopers say they've made more than 5,300 such arrests through the first seven months of this year and made more than 9,500 during all of 2010.

Troopers also issued 3,330 traffic citations and 6,500 warnings during the blitz. Officers also made 447 arrests for various criminal violations.
