Two students yelled a bomb threat down the hallway from their residence hall room on the second floor of Woody/Shales hall in LaFollette Complex last night according to Robert Fey, associate director of Public Safety.
University Police Department received a call about the bomb threat at 12:01 a.m. today. Fey said the intial call was about a male who had what was thought to be a bomb strapped to his chest.
"One [person] said he had worn a vest that one might wear if you're out shooting those air rifles," he said. "His roommate yelled out into the hall, making a comment about blowing up the building..."
Students were not evacuated from the building. UPD did a search to see if the students had any real bomb devices, but none were found.
Fey said Housing and Residence Life will be handling the situation without UPD.
