WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Ball State faces tough test on road against Bowling Green

BGSU holds 10-1 record at home this season

Prior to the start of the season, coach Kelly Packard identified Bowling Green as the team to beat in the Mid-American Conference.

Ball State (9-13) has an opportunity to avenge its recent struggles in a 40-minute bout with Bowling Green at 2 p.m.

After a disheartening 68-59 loss to Ohio Wednesday night, Ball State looks to snap its two-game loosing streak and notch its first road victory in MAC play this season.

Despite having dropped two of their last three games, the Falcons (18-4) will be a handful for the Cardinals. Two-time MAC Player of the Year and senior guard/forward Lauren Prochaska leads the Falcons with an average of 18.5 points per game.

Prochaska also doesn't miss often from the charity stripe. She has an average of .921 from the free throw line.

Senior forward Emily Maggert will try to lead the Cardinals to victory. The Ball State captain is averaging 16 points and nine rebounds per contest, leading the team in both categories.

The Cardinals will have to grind one out on the road, as Bowling Green is virtually unbeatable on their home floor with a record of (10-1).
