The Ball State track and field team ended the Meyo Invitational with four top-15 finishes this weekend. The Cardinals competed against some of the toughest competition in the nation, including Illinois, Eastern Michigan and Notre Dame.
Ali Bishel was the Cardinals front-runner with a seventh place finish in the 3,000-meter with a time of 10:04.86.
Bishel, along with teammates MaryKate Mellen, Judah Smith, and Christine Tallhelm, placed 10th in the distance medley relay (12:07.49).
Thekla Lorenz and Rebecca Lomax both placed 11th in field events. Lorenz competed in the long jump event with a jump of 5.76 meters. Lomax had a jump of 1.68 meters in the high jump.
Janae Taylor finished 18th out of 55 contestants in the 200-meter run with a time of 25.58. Sharise Logwood competed in the same event with a time of 26.60, finishing 48th.
The team heads to Bloomington, Ind. next Friday to compete in the Hoosier Hills Invitational.
