SGA slates campaign before voting

The Student Government Association executive slates are fitting in their last week of campaigning before online voting begins Monday.

Voting will available online to students from 7:45 a.m. Feb. 28 to 6:45 p.m. March 1.

Each of the slates has their own set of platform points that they have been delivering to students all week.

Hold one campus-wide Town Hall per semester

Increase SGA online presence

Distribute feedback surveys to graduating students and recent alumni

Greener campus

Add a secretary of environmental affairs to executive cabinet

Work with Energy Action Team to expand Energy Action Challenge

Offer reusable to-go containers in dining halls

Work with BSU Bookstore to increase availability of recycled materials

Establish April as "Environmental Awareness Month"

Smarter campus

Allow professors to publicize syllabuses on Course Shopping Cart

Put a Redbox in Bracken Library

Publicize quantitative results of course evaluations online

Promote the use of academic electronic resources for turning in long assignments

Better campus

Expand Cardinal Cash system

Create an online system for Health Center reservations

Bring back fan buses for at least one football game

Expand hours of the Bookmark Cafe

An SGA-sponsored day of service once each semester

Safer campus

Implement an annual Biker Awareness/Registration Day at the start of the year

Expand the Blue Loop to begin after Thanksgiving Break

Increase hours for Charlie's Charter
