A disgruntled Atrium student employee was arrested after causing a scene when Dining Services told her she was fired.
Officer Randall Rector arrested Mary Turner shortly before 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.
Turner screamed profanities after she was fired in the Atrium, the arrest report said.
After Rector approached Turner, she started yelling "Don't run up on me" and "You are not going to arrest me" after Rector said he would arrest her, the report said.
According to the arrest report, Rector called for back up and said that "it was a fight."
Cpl. Matt Gaither arrived and both officers grabbed Turner and had to forcefully put her arms behind her back.
The officers arrested Turner after warning her they would do so several times, the report said.
Sophomore chemistry major Chad Norris said he was standing in line at McKinley Grill when he heard the commotion. At first, he thought someone "went crazy" because the Atrium was out of French Toast sticks.
Norris said he noticed a girl yelling at another woman that worked behind the Caliente line.
"I was just really confused and was actually scared she was going to attack other people as she was yelling," he said. "She actually broke her necklace and beads fell everywhere and I was concerned that others were going to slip on those beads."
Rector took Turner to the Delaware County Jail. Turner made bail at $3,500 Thursday afternoon.
