His name is synonymous with horror, however, director Wes Craven ("Scream," "A Nightmare on Elm Street") has not made a great horror film in more than a decade. His latest, "My Soul to Take," opened over the weekend to universally negative reviews.
"The picture is directed with such a loose, slack hand that you'd think Craven had never directed a slasher-thriller before," Movieline's Stephanie Zacharek wrote.
Why has this horror master fallen back to square one? If you look back at Craven's career, you will realize he has been headed in this direction for a long time.
