Ellsworth resumes ads with less than month to go

INDIANAPOLIS — After weeks off the air, Democratic Rep. Brad Ellsworth is again running a campaign commercial with less than a month to go until the Nov. 2 election.

Ellsworth's latest ad started airing Tuesday in Indianapolis. The ad says Republican former Sen. Dan Coats made millions as a Washington lobbyist and accuses Coats of selling out Indiana to line his own pockets. The ad questions how voters can trust Coats to represent the state.

Ellsworth ran two ads during the summer introducing himself to voters but hasn't been on the air since mid-August. Coats has run four ads since the May primary, with two currently running in different parts of the state.

A new poll released Tuesday shows Coats with a big lead over Ellsworth.
