Atrium employee fired, then arrested after causing scene

A disgruntled Atrium employee was arrested after causing a scene when Dining Services told her she was fired.

Officer Randall Rector arrested Mary Turner shortly before 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.

Turner screamed profanities after she was fired in the Atrium, the arrest report said.

After Rector approached Turner, she started yelling "Don't run up on me" and "You are not going to arrest me" after Rector advised he would arrest her, the report said.

According to the arrest report, Rector called for back up and advised that "it was a fight."

Cpl. Matt Gaither arrived and both officers grabbed Turner and had to forcefully put her arms behind her back.

Rector transported Turner to the Delaware County Jail.
