Ball State University students will have the chance to register to vote and possibly be on the evening news next week.
Channel 13 will be on campus Tuesday for a voter registration drive, Mitch Isaacs, associate director of Student Life, said.
"There will be voter registration for people from Indiana, but they won't be able to register people from other states," he said. "There's now online voter registration available and they'll be able to walk people through it or they can register in paper form if they choose."
Isaacs said WTHR will be filming at least a little bit of the drive, but hopefully students will register for bigger reasons.
"It's important to vote and you need to be registered before you do that," he said. "I think it's easy for anyone to just focus on presidential years, but midterm election years, especially this year, can be just as important."
The voter registration drive will be held on University Green Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In the event of bad weather, it will be moved to the Tally in L.A. Pittenger Center.
