Student Recreation and Wellness Center dedication today

Students are encouraged to check out what the new Student Recreation and Wellness Center has to offer at the dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony today at 4 p.m. on the main floor of the building.

Talk about the new facility has been high all over campus since construction finished. The building has already had a great deal of use from the students since its doors opened Aug. 18.

President Jo Ann Gora will speak at the ceremony about Ball State's construction efforts and the completion of the Recreation Center.

1,000 free T-shirts are available as well as free food, massages and tours.

The SRWC has a 200-meter suspended track, an extensive Outdoor Pursuits Center, a three-story climbing wall, five new basketball and volleyball courts, racquetball courts, Lewellen Pool, and indoor turf fields.

A variety of recreational courses and demonstrations, including cycling, yoga, fencing and power soccer, are available at the Recreation Center.
