Friday Night Filmworks will launch its fall lineup with "Iron Man 2," playing outside on The Quad at 9 p.m. Friday.
Assistant Director for Programs Diana Lampitt said she expects 500 to 600 people to come out for the year's first showing.
Friday Night Filmworks is usually held at 9 p.m. in Pruis Hall. However, on Oct. 15, during Family Weekend, there will be a showing of "Despicable Me" at 6 p.m. in the Student Center and at 9 p.m. in Pruis.
Lampitt said the lineup for Friday Night Filmworks is determined by a group of students involved with the University Program Board. Swank Motion Pictures provides a list of movies that played this summer and haven't been released on DVD; they choose 15 from a list of 22 movies.
Lampitt said Pruis Hall holds 660 people, and she hopes for a big crowd at each of the shows.
