Muncie police found eight pounds of marijuana and 20 jars of hallucinogenic mushrooms after a thorough search in an apartment located at 2540 W. White River Blvd., some blocks south of Ball State University.
Officers were called around 1 a.m. Wednesday because of a domestic dispute. When they arrived they found some marijuana and paraphernalia items, Lt. Al Williams said.
After finding around 5 a.m. about eight pounds of marijuana and several jars of mushrooms, police arrested Westley Whitehair, 22, and Thomas Guthrie, 26. Both individuals were arrested on possession of schedule 1 control substances and intent to deliver marijuana. They were sent to Delaware County jail.
Williams said prosecutors will wait for paperwork to be done, with initial court appearance to begin in one to two weeks.
