A candlelight vigil is planned to commemorate senior Abbi Hamilton, who died in an all-terrain vehicle accident Saturday.
The event will take place at 8 p.m. on University Green, between Shafer Tower and the Whitinger Business Building and is organized by Communication Studies students.
The vigil will follow the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event, which will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at LaFollette Field. Walk a Mile is organized by students in Comm 340, Leadership Communication.
Beth Messner, Communication Studies department adviser, said Hamilton had an integral part in organizing the event, and the class has decided to dedicate the walk in her honor.
