MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Ohio State beats Ball State in game one

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The No. 13 Ball State University men's volleyball team lost to No. 10 Ohio State University in game one of their conference tournament semifinals match Wednesday in Columbus, Ohio.

Ohio State out-hit Ball State .242 to .130 and had two players with at least four kills.

Buckeye outside attacker Shawn Sangrey has a match-high five kills. Outside attacker Matt Sprague leads Ball State with four kills.

Ball State never led at any point in the game. The Buckeyes opened the game on a 6-2 run and held at least a two-point lead throughout the entire first game.

With Ohio State leading 25-19, Ball State went on a 4-0 run, which forced the Buckeyes to call a timeout.

After the timeout, Ohio State had back-to-back kills to extend the lead to four points and closed out the game on a 3-0 run.
