Coroner indentifies man found dead in Purdue parking deck

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — The Tippecanoe County coroner has identified a man found dead inside a car at a Purdue University parking garage, and has ruled his death a suicide.

Police found the body of 25-year-old Nestor A. Rojas Thursday afternoon in the back seat of a car parked in the Wood Street Parking Garage on the West Lafayette campus.

Police said Rojas had been reported missing about three hours before his body was found.

Purdue Police Chief John Cox said investigators traced the man's cell phone to the garage and found his body there.

Purdue spokeswoman Jeanne Norberg said Rojas was a 2008 Purdue graduate. She said he was employed in the school's electrical and computer engineering department at the time of his death.
