Ball State University received two grants today for the renovation of the planetarium and the new glass program.
The Community foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. gave out its 2010 first quarter Competitive Grants. The 14 grants distributed in this first quarter together total $326,900 and were awarded to non-profit agencies in the area.
The Ball State planetarium received $10,000 from the Bassett Family Fund to renovate the planetarium, and to buy a new star projector system.
The Ball State glass program also received $10,000 for the construction of the new Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass.
Other non-profit agencies rewarded include Ball Memorial Hospital's Open Door, EcoREHAB of Muncie and the Habitat for humanity home build project.
