The Ball State University men's basketball team improved to .500 on the season with a 56-47 win over Maryland Eastern Shore tonight at Worthen Arena.
The Cardinals (5-5) were led by sophomore center Jarrod Jones, who notched his second-straight double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore guard Randy Davis and freshman guard Jauwan Scaife also reached double-digits with 11 points apiece.
For the Hawks (3-8), Hillary Haley had a game-high 13 points.
Tonight's game was the second of a three-game homestand for Ball State. The Cardinals opened up Winter Break with a 59-45 win over North Carolina Central on Dec. 21 and next play Manchester College on Thursday.
