Ball State University track and field runner Ali Bishel earned the Women's Most Outstanding Track Performer today for her performance at the Mid-American Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships last weekend.
Bishel won the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:43.23 Friday and the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:39.80 Saturday. The time in the 5,000-meter run was good enough to post a NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
Bishel scored 20 of the Cardinals 73 points at the conference meet and was named to the All-MAC First Team.
The junior will compete this weekend at the University of Notre Dame in the Alex Wilson Invitational, which is the last-chance qualifier for the NCAA Championships.
