The Office of Student Life finally received team applications for the McKinley mile bike race Monday afternoon.
Four men and one women's teams signed up, graduate assistant Kristan Kanorr said, which is about the same as last year.
"I'd like to see a couple more girl's teams come in and even out the playing field," she said.
Kanorr said the Office of Student Life will most likely combine the race unless more women apply for teams. The office will also accept applications through Friday.
"We figured the deadline sneaked up," Kanorr said. "Most came in that day [Monday] but if anyone forgot, we'll take them to the end of the week," Kanorr said.The five teams signed up include two from the greek community, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Phi Mu.
