The Ball State University field hockey team had nine players earn a spot on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Squad for the fifth consecutive season today.
The NFHCA named Kristen Falk, CJ Hermes, Hannah Jones, Brooke MacGillivary, Caitlin Maguire, Kaitlin Mitchell, Katie Norris, Melanie Pasillas and Maura Sawicki as the Cardinals who earned the recognition.
The squad recognizes collegiate field hockey players who have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA through the first semester of the 2008-09 academic year. The nine honorees tie for the third most in Ball State history, behind the 1997 and 2008 teams that had 12 players on the squad.
