Two members of the Ball State University track and field team had NCAA provisional qualifying times at the Ball State Quadrangular on Friday.

Fifth-year senior Amber Williams and junior Katie Johnson reached the mark in the 60-meter hurdles as both finished in first and second place. Williams won the event with a MAC-best time of 8.29 seconds - defeating Johnson by 0.13 seconds.

Williams also won the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.45 seconds, which was 0.01 seconds from reaching the NCAA provisional qualifying mark.

Williams, a 2007 All-American, is returning for her senior season after she redshirted last season to train for the 2008 Olympics. Along with Williams' wins, Ball State won four more events to finish the meet in second place with 87.5 points. Western Michigan University won the Quadrangular for the second consecutive season with 105.5 points.
