The Ball State University men's basketball team upset the Mid-American Conference East Division-leading University at Buffalo 53-51 today in Worthen Arena.
The loss snapped the Bulls' (17-6, 9-2 MAC) nine-game winning streak that dated back to Jan. 10.
Leading the way for the Cardinals (11-12, 6-5 MAC) was freshman center Jarrod Jones with a game-high tying 13 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Senior guard Rob Giles had 11 points and senior guard Brandon Lampley added 10 points and a game-high four assists for Ball State.
For Buffalo, forward Max Boudreau had 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
The Bulls, the MAC's leading rebounding team coming into today's game, were out-rebounded 36-33 by the Cardinals for the game.
