The Ball State University chapter of FIJI fraternity received several awards Saturday at an annual event in Indianapolis.
The event, "State Day," was put on by the fraternity's Beta Graduate Chapter.
According to the press release, "State Day" is a long-standing tradition that is attended by all eight Indiana chapters.
Members attended discussion sessions regarding recruitment, pledge education and graduate relations throughout the day.
Representatives from Ball State were awarded Most Improved Chapter, Most Improved GPA, Outstanding Service Event and Best Graduate Relations Program for their efforts during the past year. They also placed second for the Beta Cup, which is presented to the best chapter in the state.
According to the press release, the Ball State chapter took many new ideas away from the event and members of the fraternity hope to make next year even more of a success.
