WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Gratton's double-double leads Cards to first MAC win

Ball State beats Eastern Michigan by seven

The Ball State University women's basketball team won its first game against a Mid-American Conference team. Ball State defeated Eastern Michigan University 62-55.

Forward Danielle Gratton led the team with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Ball State players scored in the double digits including Emily Maggert, Porchia Green and Jade Barber.

Ball State outscored Eastern Michigan 30-20 in the paint.

Ball State will play at Western Michigan University on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Kalamazoo, Mich.
