Ball State University forward Anthony Newell is scheduled to speak to the media for the first time since suffering a career-ending injury, sports information director Matt McCollester said Wednesday.
The fifth-year senior suffered a compound fracture in his right leg Jan. 10 in a 46-42 win at Eastern Michigan University. He was five points away from 1,000 in his Cardinal career.
Newell attended last night's 50-44 win against Western Michigan University at Worthen Arena. Ball State is ranked first in the Mid-American Conference with 3-1 record.
Newell was a fan favorite with the Cardinals, and we want to know what you, the fan, would like to ask him. Send in your questions to DayWatch editor Ryan Wood at daywatch@bsudailynews.com.
We'll have another update on Newell's comments after he speaks Friday.
