Thanks to multiple student organizations, all the activities happening in Washington D.C. during Tuesday's presidential inauguration will be available for your viewing pleasure on campus.
A Presidential Inauguration Watch Celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cardinal Hall in L.A. Pittenger Student Center. The event is part of Ball State's Unity Week, which is held to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. and his fight for civil rights. You'd be hard pressed to find a more fitting activity to celebrate the civil rights movement than watch Obama become the first black man to be sworn into the Oval Office.
So what does Obama's inauguration mean? An Inauguration Panel Discussion will take place 7 p.m. at Pruis Hall to answer that question, and many more.
For all you who have followed Obama's run to the White House throughout the past two years, what could be a better way of spending a special Inauguration Day? Please feel free to submit any photos or stories about your inauguration experience to DayWatch editor Ryan Wood at daywatch@bsudailynews.com or 285-8257.
