Ball State organizations prepare for holiday season

The Harvey Phillips Foundation presents an hour of traditional Christmas carols performed by an ensemble of tuba players.About 40 tuba players from the East Central Indiana area will be performing, including the Ball State Euphonium Ensemble.

The Noyer Center International Cafe will be serving traditional holiday meals from the United States, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom and France.

The Planetarium will be showing two 30 minute programs, "George and Oatmeal Save Santa" and "The Christmas Star."

All six Ball State University choirs: Chamber Choir, Statesman, Concert Choir, University Singers, Women's Chorus and the University Choral Union will be singing secular and sacred holiday compositions spanning seven different languages and 800 years.

The America's Hometown Band will perform renditions of classic holiday songs. The show features the Muncie Children's Choir, yo-yo artist Noel Kunz, vocal soloists Mandy Wortz and Myles Ogea, trombonist Will Frazier and Ball State University singing group The Cardinal Five.
