FOOTBALL: Bus added to take students to game

After seeing a large demand for its bus trip to Ball State University football game at Central Michigan University on Wednesday, Student Government Association decided to add a second bus Thursday.

Ball State students can get a spot on the second bus by bringing their student ID and $10 to the Office of Student Life, which is in L.A. Pittenger Student Center Room 133, starting today. The $10 gives students a spot on the bus, a ticket for the game and food on the bus.

Tickets go on sale 8 a.m. and are limited to the first 54 students who come to the office.

Spots on the first bus went on sale 8 a.m. Wednesday and were sold out by 10 a.m. that morning.

SGA President Frank Hood said Wednesday there were no plans to add a second bus because of the cost to SGA. The association spent about $2,500 for the first bus, which was paid for through SGA's discretionary fund.

Thursday, SGA sent an e-mail to students that notified them of the second bus and said the athletics department helped support it.

For more information, students may contact the SGA office at 285-8631 or Student Life at 285-2621.
