Four days from playing its first home football game as a nationally ranked team, the No. 20 Ball State University football team is making an effort to get the youth to Scheumann Stadium.
The athletics department announced Monday it will participate in the Take a Kid to the Game program during Saturday's game against Eastern Michigan University.
With this program, adults who purchase a full-priced general admission ticket will receive a free general admission youth ticket for a child less than 15 years old. In addition, there will be a seating section designated in Scheumann Stadium for people attending team game as part of the program.
Entering its 13th year, the Take a Kid to the Game program is an NCAA Football promotion with more than 200 schools participating this season.
