Students wishing to vote early this year can save some gas if they go this week.
Ball State University College Republicans, with the Mitch Daniels for Governor campaign, is sponsoring a van to shuttle students from campus to the Delaware County Government Center all week.
"We know that early voting is important to students," Rob Burgess, treasurer of College Republicans, said.
Burgess said the van was donated to the group to use for the week. If the service is well used, it might run longer, he said.
"Right now, we're only planning on running it this week," Burgess said.
The free service will stop at every bus stop on campus. However, only seven people can fit in the van at any given time, so space is limited.
Voting vanThe van will run this week only during these hours:Mon.: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.Tues. to Thurs.: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
