For the second time in his career, Ball State University running back MiQuale Lewis was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Lewis scored four touchdowns Saturday in Ball State's 42-20 victory at Indiana University, the team's first ever victory against a BCS school. The four touchdowns tied a Cardinal record for the most in a single game. The junior also ran for a career-high 166 yards in the win.
Lewis' performance Saturday was the third consecutive game he ran for 100 yards. It helped Ball State improve to 4-0 on the season, which is the team's best start since it began the 1988 season 5-0.
Free safety Derrick Henry also won the MAC West's Defensive Player of the Week award. The sophomore had a team-high nine tackles in the win against Indiana.
