FIELD HOCKEY: Cards drop second game in Maryland

The Ball State University field hockey team lost 4-2 to Bucknell University on Saturday in its second game of the weekend in Owings Mills, Md.

The Cardinals fell to 1-3 on the year in a game that was affected by weather from Tropical Storm Hanna. Freshman midfielder Caitlin Maguire scored both goals for Ball State, the first goals of her college career.

Ball State took an early lead on Maguire's first goal, but Bucknell tied the score before halftime. The Cardinals had one shot in the first half and three all game long, as the Bison had 17 shots during the game.
